As a member of the Order of Malta, with a deep commitment to serving others through faith and humanitarian aid, I am honoured to be part of an organisation with 900 years of compassion and service behind it. Our work is guided by Christian principles and a dedication to aiding those in need — rooted in the values of faith, hope and charity.
A storied history spanning over 900 years, dedicated to the defence of the faith and service to the poor and sick. One of the oldest institutions in the world, it has grown from a medieval chivalric order into a modern organisation that still holds to its founding principles.
Medical care, food and shelter for those in need, alongside humanitarian diplomacy that advocates for the rights of the vulnerable. In times of disaster the Order is among the first to respond.
Active in over 120 countries. That network makes it possible to address needs from healthcare and social services to emergency relief and long-term development — serving humanity without distinction.
Among the most spiritually rewarding work is the annual international pilgrimage to Lourdes with the sick and disabled — accompanying the malades on their journey, and witnessing moments of grace and solidarity along the way.
